About Meals-on-Wheels

Homebound senior adults receive healthy midday meals that meet at least one-third of the required daily allowances.

Recognizing the special dietary needs of senior adults, the Registered Dietitian for CSS directs meals preparation for diabetic, low sodium, low cholesterol, renal/lactose restricted, chopped and puree diets.

Meals are delivered by volunteers and CSS staff weekdays.

Frozen meals are delivered on Friday for persons needing food for the weekend and Monday through Friday for those in need of an evening meal.

Deliveries are made to areas throughout Bexar County.

Hours of operation: 8:00 - 5:00 weekdays
Fees: Suggested donation of$3.30 per meal; free meals for eligible seniors
Elegibility: Persons 60 yearsof age and older hom
