This foundation was born out of identifying a large population of the working poor who have no health insurance, yet need to access health care.
There are also many senior citizens that do not have enough income to pay for their electric bill, rent, food and their medications, yet whose income is too high to qualify for Medicaid.
Their goal is to supplement the local Indigent Fund to enable qualified individuals to obtain the necessary health care and to assist with obtaining affordable medications, medical equipment and supplies.
They also include in their mission to provide healthcare providers in their community with education on end-of-life issues to enhance the quality of life.
