UCO helps the needy in emergency situations.

They help individuals living within the city limits of Lafayette and those living in Lafayette Parish on a case by case basis.

Assistance provided includes:

• clothing,
• utilities (maximum help of $50...every 3 years, with church referral,
• disconnect notice and social security number required),
• food,
• medication (referral from 232-HELP/211 for food) and referrals to other agencies.

If they do not receive food stamps, they are given groceries.

All workers are volunteers; no paid staff workers.

Funding is from individual contributions and church donations.

The United Christian Outreach Food Net Pantry is open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
