Bayou industrial maintenance service, inc. (B.I.M.S.) also runs Supported Training and Employment Service, Inc. (S.T.E.P.) and is a non-profit organization, funded through JTPA, LRS, Waiver Service, private grants, United Way, and the Dept. of Transportation.

The program is designed to train and place in competitive employment persons with disabilities; provide transportation to and from work site; provide Medicaid waiver service, skilled independent living, respite and personal care attendants; assists with SSI applications, and contractual provisions in janitorial and yard maintenance.
