About Caring Connections for Seniors

Volunteer organization assists older adults in gaining access to and in participating in the life of the community.

Connects older adults of Roger's Park to volunteers who provide provide friendly visits, telephone contact, and assistance transportation and errand running services.

Offers information and linkage to community resources.

Provides opportunities for socialization by offering group activities organized around shared interests and concerns.

Process begins with a telephone call to CCS.

The facility itself is not a meeting location.

An intake worker will then visit the clients home to conduct a comprehensive assessment.

In addition to inquires about the needed services, data is gathered about the clients need for additional services as well as social, spiritual, and other needs.

Information is used to connect clients with volunteers that offer the services desired and match their profile the closest.

Intake information is kept on file from the client to facilitate matches between them and other clients.

These clients may be connected, if desired, based on interests, concerns, or life situations.
