A licensed private employment company offering in-home assistance on a 24-hour live-in or hourly basis.

Companionship and assistance with personal care, safety, nutrition and household management is offered.

Duties performed may include

• bathing,
• hygiene,
• shampoo,
• shaving,
• assistance with ambulation,
• exercise/transfers/turning,
• meal preparation,
• housekeeping,
• laundry,
• shopping,
• escort service, and hospital sitting.

Caregivers have declared themselves independent an not employees of the agency.

The rates are suggestions only, clients and caregivers are free to negotiate different amounts at any time.

A portion of the fee is paid to the caregiver and a portion to All Better Care.

Agency requires a minimum of 20 hours per week for Chicago and 35 hours per week in the suburbs.

FEES (based on market rate)

Homemakers/Companion (One patient) : $9.25 - $9.75/ hour or $92.00- $97.00 live-in

Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA)/Private Duty Aide (one patient): $10.00 - $10.50/per hour or 102.00 - 107.00/live-in

ADDITIONAL FEES Transportation $4/per round-trip.

Holiday pay is time and one-half for 7 legal holidays; and "Hands on" care for two patients is usually in the area of 25% additional, paid to caregiver.
