Services Offered:

* Free Tax Preparation through the VITA program Jan.-April

* S.O.S.(Sustaining Their Seniors) BROWN BAG PROGRAM for low income citizens over 60 years of age

- To apply for this program, drop-in or call to request an application.

The person must be over 60 and meet income guidelines as set by the USDA.

The bags are distributed at the service center the last Wed. of the month. Applications must be received by the 15th of the month to receive assistance that month.

For Effingham county residents only.

* Applications for Rx assistance through Medbank.

- Call to set up an appointment to apply.

The service center will help clients with all aspects of the application process.

* Applications for ramps and minor home repairs for disabled / elderly citizens through GAP ministries.

* Medical Equipment lending library.
