medicaid recipients who are in need of medical transportation of a
non-emergency, non-ambulatory nature.
The call should be made at least 2
days before the appointment.
Medicaid Recipients are allowed to choose a
transportation provider from those enrolled in the area.
However,
Medicaid Program rules prohibit recipients from accepting anything from
a transportation provider in return for making this choice and/or from
helping a provider in defrauding the program in any other way.
Complaints or fraud reports against transportation providers may be made
by calling the area scheduling office or the local Medicaid
