Lazarus House provides the only Emergency Shelter serving mid Kane County open 365 days a year. Emergency shelter staff are available 24/7 and may be reached at 630-587-2144. The only transitional housing program (Center for Transitional Living) in the Tri-Cities and western rural Kane County area. An outreach program, funded by grants, that provides rent, mortgage and utility assistance to qualifying households. Outreach staff are available 9am-9pm Mondays, 9 am-5pm Tuesdays-Fridays and 10am-2pm Saturdays. Advance appointments are required and may be made by calling 630-587-5872. Lazarus House mission is to provide hospitality, food, safe shelter, and support services to men, women and children who are homeless or in need connected to St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia and western rural Kane County, Illinois. Goals are to: 1)help the homeless return to independent living with the skills and habits needed for long-term success and 2)offer services and referrals to help those in need in their community in order to prevent homelessness and support the well being of individuals and their families. ..
