The Network Liaisons are volunteers who work with the
Bureau of HIV/AIDS, Prevention Section to facilitate organizational and
community capacity building among minority Community-Based Organizations
(CBOs) and AIDS Service Organizations.
The primary functions of the
network are to participate in monthly conference calls with the Bureau
of HIV/AIDS, disseminate information to providers in the community,
complete needs assessment surveys, assist in establishing a network of
community members interested in HIV prevention and care, recruit
additional members with diverse expertise and experience into the
network, provide peer-based support, mentoring and exchange of
information, assist in planning and implementing network events and
