Referrals accepted from ACTION, Inc. for counties outside Clarke and Oconee. Languages spoken or available: English, Must bring a Spanish interpreter Area served: Clarke County and Oconee ; with ACTION, Inc. referral will serve Madison, and Oglethorpe Services - Provides financial assistance for rent, utilities, prescriptions(Clarke county residents only), and dental emergencies. - Must provide documentation for a LOSS of income within the last 30-60 days. Loss of income can be job or medical related. It can also be due to unexpected expense such as large car repair. - Can not have been fired or quit from a job. - Must call for an appointment. - To receive assistance must qualify under their guidelines. - Does not have Spanish interpreter on-site. Does Not provide assistance with: Rent and utility deposits. Bills from previous locations or in someone else s name. NO assistance with cable, phone, credit cards and clothing. Prescription must be less than two days old (except weekends).
