The Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Program (HPRP) is specifically for persons/families who are either

1) at risk of homelessness or

2) have already become homeless.

(However, this program is not for persons who are chronically homeless).

This program is only for persons/families who are likely to become self-sufficient as a result.

There are many other guidelines/requirements in order to qualify.

For those who qualify, the following services may be offered on a case by case basis:

1) rental assistance

2) utility bill payment assistance

3) rental and utility deposit assistance

4) moving costs

5) certain motel vouchers

6) case management.

Catholic Charities will send case managers to all Big Bend Counties on a regular basis, but all interested persons should call the Tallahassee intake number and state what county they live in.
