The Area 04 HIV/AIDS Program Coordinator is the central point of contact for HIV/AIDS issues in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St Johns Counties, participating in statewide, regional, and county program planning.

Other services include

• coordination with local disease control staff,
• oversight of local contracts,
• assuring counseling,
• testing (rapid testing for HIV/AIDS/STD) and referral programs are managed and evaluated correctly,
• assisting or supervising planning and coordination of patient care related activities,
• ensuring outreach activities reach identified targeted population, and coordinating with local surveillance staff to ensure accurate reporting of HIV/AIDS cases.
