I am in need of deposit/rental assistance. I have been burglarized 3 times at my place of residence. I have lived there for 1.5 years. This is ongoing. I am on a voucher program through HOM INC. I may need to break my lease. I am looking for another apartment. However, HOM INC. may take over the monthly rental cost. I would need to come up with the deposit. I am unemployed x3 weeks. I am actively looking for employment. I have applied for unemployment benefits and am awaiting reconsideration decision. I do not want to be homeless. I have notified the housing specialist assigned to my case. She is aware but I have not submitted the police report of burglary to her because I am afraid of being denied or homelessness. I have been sleeping outside or couch surfing in the meantime because I am uncomfortable in my unit and it a bad area to live. Please help. Thank you.
